18 Jul 2008we did have intial problems locating the hotel it is directlc behind the secc .Car park£5 per night is located behind the hotel accesing the reception via a covered walkwayInitial reception was a little slow due to an influx of tourists{coach party}the receptionist was a little brusk and telling us we would have to pay for breakfast{which we didnt]the main evening meal was either a la carte or buffet not a fantastic choice of hot dishes we ended up with soup,sasages with veg and cake for around £19 each looking later the room service menu looked better and cheaper.The breakfast which was buffet style had a fair choice but most of which was only warm! The bedroom was ok with good views,quiet{8th floor}non opening windowsbut had air con which worked well,it was clean with a decent bathroom It would have been nice to have had a modern lcd type flatscreen tv with posibly a dvd player it is after all a 4 star hotel.finally the hotel has a good location directly alongside the river and alongside the secc with direct access for concerts ect. |
