18 Jul 2008we did have intial problems locating the hotel it is directlc behind the secc .Car park?5 per night is located behind the hotel accesing the reception via a covered walkwayInitial reception was a little slow due to an influx of tourists{coach party}the receptionist was a little brusk and telling us we would have to pay for breakfast{which we didnt]the main evening meal was either a la carte or buffet not a fantastic choice of hot dishes we ended up with soup,sasages with veg and cake for around ?19 each looking later the room service menu looked better and cheaper.The breakfast which was buffet style had a fair choice but most of which was only warm! The bedroom was ok with good views,quiet{8th floor}non opening windowsbut had air con which worked well,it was clean with a decent bathroom It would have been nice to have had a modern lcd type flatscreen tv with posibly a dvd player it is after all a 4 star hotel.finally the hotel has a good location directly alongside the river and alongside the secc with direct access for concerts ect. |
