Lunch

I went here at lunch time with my friends, once we went in and got our table we noticed the whole place was seriously packed together and cramped. I was sitting at a spot that it was very difficult to get out and collect food. The food was terrible, the chicken was cooked properly as it was pink and i felt sick after eating the chicken maryland. There was hardly anything to eat and the food had no flavour whatsoever. The service was very bad, they didnt even say thank you or anything, i left my plate out to see if a waitress would collect it but they walked pass and ignored it completely.

Overall: Not worth the money very bad place to eat and very uncomfotable.

Lunch With Friends

Very disappointed with the food and customer service in kings Lodge. I had lunch with a friend yesterday and I had a plate of noodles, rice and chips (no meat) and had to buy a bottle of water as they wouldn't give me a glass of water, which in total, came to £9. I didn't have a dessert as before I picked one, I asked if they would let me take away whatever I couldn't finish and they said no. It was overstaffed and the serving staff were hanging around eager to take your plate away the minute you had finished. The interior isn't tasteful and the seating arrangement feels cramped. I won't eat here again.

I work near the Kings Lodge so I usually go there to get something to eat because I do not need to worry about how long it will take for my food to be ready. However I am appalled at how they they refuse to give me a glass of tap water and insist I buy a drink. I am a good customer and I can't always afford to buy a drink so now I make point now never to by one. This also is against policy of having an alcohol license and in september with new laws regarding alcohol license "refusing tap water to paying customers" will be illegal. Not only is it against alcohol license policy but it shows that they are more interested in getting money from people than providing good customer service.

Family Dinner

Excellent food, pleasant and fast working staff all for a lot cheaper than you'd expect for good quality.

24th August

Me, 2 cuzins, 2 best and friends and my boyfriend at the time all went to the kings lodge on union street on the 24th August 2008 to celebrate my 16th birthday. We had booked a table and arrived to find that there was excellent service from the staff and we were given permission to decorate the table and the area around the table for the duration of our meal. The prices were good and the food was delicious. I woiuld reccomend the kings lodge to anyone planning on going out for a family or romantic meal or even a birthday meal as the level or service we found outstounding.

Business Lunch

I would say that the kings lodge was very well priced and worth what you are paying. There is a wide range of food to choose from as it is a buffet and the food is very enjoyable.
