Most Nights ! Particularly Sunday!Unfortunately Garage has gone down hill severly in the past few years. Long gone are the glory days, when garage was a safe bet. I had stopped going completely about 2 months ago because of the poor quality nights my friends and I have had. But I returned on Sunday 11th of January to see if it had improved any. To my disgust I found that only the basement bar was open, which you will have to pay me alot more than ?5 to ever enter again. I found that the staff were still rude and incredibly slow taking into account the low numbers of punters. The supposed cheap alcohol was like water as were the Tap drinks. I mean, I know it is difficult running a bar or club have done it myself for many years but someone capable needs to do something. The staff need proper training on how to serve and speak to customers. The Security 'CPL' well what can be said, a joke. Quality alcohol can be served at cheap prices easily withpout watering it down, if the taps and optics are properly maintained and quality wholesalers are utilised. Other areas that need improvement are the music; which is very hit or miss depending on the night. The in house DJ's are awful, keep up to date with your music, seriously. The General management. The majority of problems obviously fall into this area however other obvious problems are: If you leave your coat behind do not expect to pick it up from Garage no no, you must go to Strathclyde police station headquarters. How unnecessarily inconvenient. I mean when a club has a bebo and facebook that pay homage to how terrible they are you need to do somthing. I will not be returning to garage with my friends any time soon there are much better and cheaper alternatives including the late opening Moskito or Bunker now with its new dance floor. If you feel you need a night club Sauchiehall Street has little to offer these days. |

Andrew MaxwellWell what can I say, he always makes me laugh on RTE's The Panel and he has his finger on the pulse in terms of current affairs. Saturday night at The Garage in Glasgow was no different this guy will just draw you in with his non stop hour of side splitting stories about his life and we can all relate to nearly everthing that has happend to him which makes an Andrew Maxwell Gig a must see!! His next show is in vicker street in Dublin 0n 4/4/2008 get yourself a ticket this guy is great!!!!!!!!!! |
