Wedding Singer

Excellent dance routines all characters as good as the other. Was very funny & well written. The script writers deserve credit for this show as it was an original and not just a copy of the movie. I expected people singing 80's music and got original music and a very funny show. Well done to all.

Zorro

Zorro was a splendid production of West End Quality. All of our party took the characters to our hearts and we were glued to our seats throughout the entire performance. It brought musicals to the masses of men who would normally shy from them. How the team of set designers and production staff managed to include so many magnificant stage sets in the King's Theatre is unfathomable.The cast were incredibly talented and I would like to thank everyone involved in the show for providing me with the best night's entertainment I have had for a long time!

Zorro

I was utterly mesmerised by the performance of Zorro at The Kings last night. The dancing, singing and acting was of a West-End standard and the Glasgow audience took the cast to their hearts with a rousing reception. The set was very ambitious and how the small stage of the Kings with its steep slope coped, is anyone's guess! The performances of both Zorro and Luisa were outstanding as was all other singers, particularly Anna Matteo. All have tremendous voices though mixed this with a real comical element. Best show I have seen at the Kings for ages. Pure Entertainment!

Sleeping Beauty

This seems to get better and better with every passing year ... now as much of a Christmas tradition as Turkey and the trimmings. Couldn't imagine any other place to be on Boxing Day at 1900hrs that in the front row of the stalls at the Kings! Gerard Kelly once again stole the show. He comes across as a friendly unfortunate but this only goes to disguise what a gunius the guy is. Karen Dunbar ... what a national treasure! ... she joked and laughed her way through nearly 3 hours of side splitting entertainment. The rest of the cast ... superb. Can't see how ANYONE of any age could not enjoy this night out.

Sleeping Beauty

It was a fantastic night my family really enjoyed the show. The cast were brilliant especially karen dunbar as nanny begood. We particularly liked her looking at mars. It is hard to believe they do the show twice daily 7 days a week as the show felt fresh as the cast were so enthusiastic. Thankyou so much for a great show it more than surpassed our expectations.

Sleeping Beauty - 01/12/2007

If you are going to see the King's panto for the first time, then it is shaping up to be an excellent show. This year's cast have been well chosen. Gerard Kelly plays his role to a high standard as always, Karen Dunbar has proved she can do pantomime well, and Dawn Steele (Monarch of the Glen and Sea of Souls) and Gavin Mitchell (Still Game) made an excellent pair of baddies. The singing and dancing was all to a hight standard, the music selection was varied and there was plenty to entertain the audience of all ages.

Now for the negative bit... As someone who sees the King's panto every year, it does become rather set in its ways and repetitive. Gerard Kelly's jokes (whether they are his or the writers) are becoming somewhat thin, as I've heard them year after year. The music was not as well chosen as it usually is, and i didn't find myself laughing as much as I have done in the past. As the curtain came down on the first act, I felt rather let down, as there was no 1st half finale, something which I feel is necessary before the interval. The second half certainly picked up a bit, with a brilliant gag which I really laughed at.

The show was good, I will give them that, and it is what I expect of the King's, however that is the trouble, it is very much what I expect now, and there are few surprises in it for me. If you have not seen a King's panto before, then do go. If you have, then do go, but expect much of the same!

Blood Brothers

I was blown away,the emotions overwhelmed me I found myself 1 hour later in a cafe with a coffee still crying at the performance so believable it tore me apart to watch it. The voices and music are phenomenal, and everyone on stage looked drained with the effort and emotion, Anthony Costa what a star, I was warned Kleenex would be required but not on the scale they were used.

West Side Story

One of the best productions of West Side Story I have seen including professional productions. It was a real different take on it and I loved it. The show is 50 years old and it did not seem that way with slick interesting dancing, great singing and I cried buckets most of the way through the second act. Well done
